Whenever I think of Valentine’s Day, I think of two things - Tara McPherson and New Years Day. Now I’ve never been a huge fan of any holiday (except maybe Halloween and my birthday ;) ) but V Day just seemed kind of silly. Now I don’t mean to offend anyone who loves today and I’m not some person who hates the world and love and has a black heart, blah blah blah - I just never saw the point of today. But I don’t want to get into my reasons or make anyone upset, I just wanted to share the things I think of whenever February 14th rolls around.

Here are some of my favorite anti-V Day (according to me) works from one of my favorite artists Tara McPherson. Tara’s works to me reflect a lot how love is (for me). Nothing is every black and white, things are complicated. I’m not against nor am I completely for feeling all fuzzy inside, I just think nothing’s every that simple.

I’ll post some of my fav New Years Day songs later. And have a good day, whether you’re spending it with someone you’re completely head over heals for, or you’re at home watching repeats of Gossip Girl.
